Location: Seismically Safe
Our facility is located in a "non-liquefaction" area with low seismic activity.
Electrical Power Redundancy
Electrical and power redundancies come from dual or greater electrical grids in the area. Our facility provides at least two power grids coming from separate power substations into dual automatic transfer switches, which feed the uninterrupted power supply (UPS). In the event of a power outage, the generator(s) must be capable of sustaining the entire facility and are automatically engaged. The power grids feed dual fully redundant True Online – MGE 225 KVA UPS systems. Each of the UPS systems feed Power Distribution Units (PDU). Each of the PDUs can feed all systems in the facility. Each MGE UPS unit has dual (redundant) battery banks. Finally, each cabinet or rack is supplied with two usable 20 AMP power connections with diverse internal paths.
Exterior Fiber Redundancy
We implement redundancy of the exterior fiber plants coming into the building by utilizing two separate and diverse entrance locations. Each entrance is connected to separate COs to ensure survivability.
Internal Network Redundancy
The core switches are dual foundry Big Irons with Juniper M40 routers that are fully meshed with no single point of failure. The Network Infrastructure is IP based with switches that feed each cabinet. Available connections include:

- OC48
Network Operating Center
The Network Operations Center proactively monitors all data center customers 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
Fire and Smoke Detection Systems
Our facility's fire and smoke detection system includes three separate FM 200 systems; one for the main data center area and one for the UPS systems and one for the battery room. Smoke detection includes above floor and above ceiling smoke detectors. FM 200 systems will discharge in a particular area if no more than one detector and zone are faulted. A pre-Action dry pipe sprinkler system backs up the FM 200 systems.
HVAC Systems
HVAC systems include chilled water based systems and systems that control humidity and air makeup. The Environmental Systems include redundant Liebert Cooling Towers and Pumps for the chilled water cooling systems, air conditioners and air handlers in the data facility and Computer/Telco rooms. as well as chilled water for mainframe systems.
Physical Security
The data facilities are protected by the building security system, internal and external proximity card-key code access system and in addition: 100% coverage CCTV video surveillance and recording systems. All cabinets come with individually locking doors and all access to the facility is governed through mantraps.
